Explore the big questions of life
ALPHA
THE NEXT COURSE WILL BEGIN OCTOBER 9, 2024
WHAT IS ALPHA?
Alpha is a fun dinner series followed by group conversations designed for those who would not identify as Christians and are interested in exploring life, spirituality, and faith through a Christian lens in a relaxed, non-judgmental environment. If you’re an atheist, skeptic or just curious about faith, bring your thoughts to the discussion group and explore questions of life with new friends!
If you want to know more, we'd love to invite you to join us for the first week of Alpha! It will be a fun evening where you can find out if Alpha is for you. Please feel free to reach out to denver@anthemchurch.org if you have any questions!
welcome. watch. discuss. socialize.
How it Works
6:30 - 7:15PM MINGLING AND DINNER
Join us for a free dinner, drinks, and dessert!
7:15 - 7:45PM WELCOME AND VIDEO
Each Alpha evening features a 25 minute film. Designed to inspire more questions than provide answers, these short films explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions such as Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith?
7:45 - 8:30PM* DISCUSS THE QUESTIONS THAT MATTER TO YOU
The entire night builds towards this peak experience: after the film we’ll break into discussion groups where you can share your thoughts about faith and life and hear from others in your group. You can feel free to say whatever you like or as little as you like, it's up to you.
*We observe a hard stop at 8:30 to respect your time and the family whose apartment we are using!
8:30 - 10:00PM HANG OUT AT THE BAR!
Everyone is invited to walk a few blocks and continue hanging out at a bar nearby!
FAQ

No. You may remain silent the entire time if you wish..
How long is an Alpha session?
Sessions last approximately 2 hours. They go by quickly. We start on time and always end on time.

Anyone over the age of 18 can register. Everyone is welcome - women, men, married couples, and single adults.

Yes. Just register to let us know you’re coming (so we have enough food prepared for you).
What if I go for a week or two and don’t want to continue?
If you don’t want to continue after a week or two, no worries. We will not call you or bother you if you don’t come back.
Is childcare available?

I have more questions. Whom do I contact?

Alpha Guest Guide
This guide outlines the content of the Alpha talks, which each look at a different aspect of the Christian faith.
After each talk, there is a time for discussion in small groups—a place where you can ask questions, delve into different issues and find out what others think. This is your guide, so use it however you like.
